Attorney Biography

John B. Simpson was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. After graduating seven years ahead of Barack Obama from Punahou School, Mr. Simpson completed his undergraduate education at Colgate University and law school at the University of Hawaii School of Law. Since Mr. Simpson's initial employment as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawaii in 1981 he has been afforded the opportunity to develop practice skills in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Although Mr. Simpson is licensed to practice in both Hawaii and Virginia, since 1996 he has centered his civil trial practice in Charlottesville, Virginia, representing clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts as well as in mediations and arbitrations. Mr. Simpson is married and has three daughters.
