Attorney Biography

Jonathan Wren, the head of MartinWren, P.C.’s personal injury practice group, has developed a reputation as a tireless and tenacious advocate for his clients. With courtroom experience in both state and federal courts, Jonathan built his reputation by handling difficult cases that other attorneys refused to handle, such as hotly contested premises liability and personal injury cases or cases involving serious and complex injuries. For his efforts, Jonathan has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine in personal injury litigation, an honor reserved for just 2.5% of the eligible practicing attorneys in Virginia.

When asked to identify his favorite part of practicing law, Jonathan answers without hesitation: building relationships with his clients. Jonathan takes a hands-on approach to handling each and every personal injury case he accepts and his clients are comforted that Jonathan is intimately involved in every case he handles at every stage, from intake to investigation, from negotiation with insurance companies to litigation.

Not every aspect of Jonathan’s practice involves advocating for injured clients, however. Jonathan also represents clients in insurance disputes, consumer protection cases, and commercial litigation. Last but not least, Jonathan has handled dozens of adoption cases for families, a practice that he cherishes and continues to develop.

Despite his heavy work schedule, Jonathan still finds time to contribute to the community. He is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, his local Ruritan Club, he serves as the assistant coach of the St. Anne Belfield’s varsity soccer team, and he has served on the board of directors of several local charities. And, with all of these activities, Jonathan still finds time to play pickup soccer games, strum on his banjo, go fishing, and spend time with his wife, Robin, and two children.
